Daisy Road Jazz Band
Take a stroll down Daisy road, where the jazz is hot and the musicians hotter...(this might be hyperbole, the music is definitely far hotter than the players).
Born from an overwhelming desire to play jazz, and no satisfactory alternatives, the Daisy Road Jazz Band is a group dedicated to the sexiest music on the planet (this is not at all biased, you can trust us). Full of Queensland Conservatorium trained musicians, the DRJB delights in presenting fresh arrangements of ageless classics, and tempting the music from other genres over to the glorious dark side of jazz & blues.
Of course, they also borrow shamelessly from the greats and sometimes play nearly indistinguishable arrangements of inimitable artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra, to name just a few (after all, if it ain't broke, don't fix it).
When it comes down to it, if a piece has just a sprinkle of jazz in it (and even if it doesn't) they'll cheerfully play it, bringing that unmistakably wonderful feel of a close-knit band to events of every size and shape.
